Home » Virtual Workout Tips » 3 Tips for Filming Ground Based Movements

Fit pros filming online workouts know that ground based movements are tough on audio. If you’re using a lavalier microphone or shotgun microphone, your audio either becomes distorted or suppressed. In this tutorial we talk about strategies to improve the audio quality of your online workouts and hopefully avoid some headaches from distorted audio.

In tip number one we start by addressing how you cue ground based movements. Being aware of where your microphone is located takes time to adapt to but can help you process cues while instructing. For example, if wearing a lavalier microphone, point out what bad positioning is and potentially perform exercise examples without talking throughout. Being aware of these intricacies will take practice but are small items that make a difference.
